Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This page explains how TrainerDNA users can disconnect connected platforms and request deletion of account, workspace, social, calendar, payment, and client-related data.
Before you act
Three different controls, three different outcomes
A browser reset, provider disconnect, and verified deletion request are not interchangeable. Choose the boundary that matches the data you want to affect.
Browser only
Export or reset
Affects app-owned data on one browser. It does not delete the server workspace.
One connection
Disconnect provider
Stops future access or sync for the selected integration; retained records stay separately governed.
Verified request
Account or data deletion
Signed-in mobile users can submit and track a verified account deletion request directly in the app.
1. Request Account or Workspace Deletion
Signed-in TrainerDNA mobile users can open More → Account and data deletion to submit a verified account deletion request directly in the app. After reviewing the scope, type DELETE and choose Request deletion. TrainerDNA records the request, shows its due date in the app, and sends a confirmation to the account email. Requests are completed within seven days unless processing is paused for a security or legal requirement. You can cancel a pending request in the same screen before processing begins.
If you cannot sign in, or if you need to delete only a workspace, connected platform, or selected client/prospect records, email support@trainerdna.app from the address associated with your account. Include the subject line “TrainerDNA Data Deletion Request” and identify the limited scope you want removed.
Opening this page, signing out, deleting the mobile app, or clearing browser storage does not submit server deletion. Use the in-app Request deletion control or the verified support path above.
The signed-in request verifies account control through the active session. A request is complete only after TrainerDNA sends the completion confirmation. Limited information may remain when required for security, legal, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup obligations.
Before clearing a browser, signed-in coaches can use Settings → Data controls to download the active workspace's scoped browser cache as JSON. Local-only accounts can export app-owned browser storage. The file excludes other workspace caches, server database rows, connected provider records, authentication credentials, and IndexedDB photos or other binary media. To request a broader portability export, include the desired account, workspace, client, date, and relationship-history scope in your email.
2. Disconnect Integrations in TrainerDNA
You can disconnect supported integrations inside TrainerDNA where the connection appears. Disconnecting removes or disables the connected account in TrainerDNA and stops future syncs. Where a provider supports token revocation, TrainerDNA attempts to revoke the token during disconnect or deletion workflows.
3. Meta, Facebook, and Instagram
If you connected Instagram or Facebook, you can remove TrainerDNA from your Meta account settings:
- Open Facebook or Instagram account settings.
- Go to Apps and Websites or connected apps.
- Find TrainerDNA and remove access.
- Email us if you also want stored TrainerDNA records deleted.
Removing the app from Meta stops future access from Meta-side settings. Emailing us lets us remove stored connection records, encrypted tokens, provider identifiers, and related social sync snapshots we hold, subject to lawful retention.
4. TikTok
If you connected TikTok, disconnect TikTok from inside TrainerDNA and/or remove TrainerDNA from your TikTok account settings. Email us if you want stored TikTok connection data deleted, including encrypted tokens, account identifiers, profile details, follower/stat snapshots, and recent public video metric snapshots.
5. Google Health, Fitbit, and Other Health Sources
In the TrainerDNA client app, open More → Data Sources. Disconnect stops future access, attempts provider revocation where supported, removes stored authorization tokens and provider identifiers, and retains previously imported history so existing progress records remain understandable. To remove that retained source history, choose the separate confirmed Delete imported data action. It permanently removes the selected source's stored daily summaries and samples without deleting another connected source.
You may also revoke TrainerDNA in Google Account permissions or the applicable provider settings. Email us if you cannot access the in-product deletion control or want a verified deletion request to cover additional account or workspace records.
6. Google Calendar, YouTube, and Zoom
If you connected Google Calendar, YouTube, or Zoom, disconnect the integration in TrainerDNA and/or revoke access from the provider's account settings. Email us if you want stored provider connection data deleted, including encrypted tokens, provider account identifiers, synced calendar event records, Google watch-channel records, Zoom webhook records, coaching session provider identifiers, encrypted join URLs, channel details, and video metric snapshots. Disconnecting stops future TrainerDNA access; the provider may retain calendar or meeting records under its own retention rules.
7. Stripe and Payments
If you connected Stripe, you can disconnect it in TrainerDNA and manage platform access from Stripe settings where available. Email us if you want stored Stripe connection metadata removed. Stripe may retain payment and account records under its own legal, compliance, and fraud-prevention obligations.
8. Client, Prospect, and Proof Records
You can request deletion of client/prospect records, check-in data, proof notes, testimonials, progress photos or media, and related content you entered into TrainerDNA. Because you control the client/prospect information you enter, you are responsible for honoring any deletion or consent withdrawal requests you receive from those individuals.
9. What a Verified Request Can Cover
Depending on the verified scope, a deletion request can cover a TrainerDNA account, workspace, provider connection, encrypted token, provider identifier, synced snapshot, client/prospect record, and associated operational records we are no longer required to keep. Some information may remain in aggregated, anonymized, security, audit, legal, accounting, or backup records for a limited period.
The mobile deletion screen shows whether a verified account request is pending or processing and the date by which it will be completed. Do not treat a local reset, integration disconnect, or app removal as proof of server deletion; use the in-app request state and the completion email for the actual status and scope.
